Laurent Brotte has created a Fiole modelled on the original Fiole du Pape, a unique and rare item, partly hand-made and containing a fine reserve wine with good ageing potential. Each bottle has a unique handcrafted iridescent and textured glass label, made by a local Provençal master glassmaker. The Vintage Fiole is sealed with natural wax.

THE SOUL OF THE TERROIR CARVED BY TIME

Producing Fiole Vintage is a complex process that requires expertise, passion and patience, with ageing and blending playing key roles in its creation.
After vinification, the wine is left to mature and develop its aromatic bouquet. La Fiole Vintage wines are aged for a minimum of 10 years in oak barrels. The carefully selected and toasted wood from the forests of central France imparts oaky, spicy and vanilla notes. In the cellar, a controlled temperature of 16°C and humidity level of 80% ensure that the wine matures harmoniously while preserving its aromas.
As the ageing process nears completion, the Brotte family and their oenologists determine the ideal blend proportions. This ancestral expertise brings out the best of each grape variety, creating a complex, well-balanced wine that reflects both its terroir and its vintage.
When you drink a La Fiole Vintage, you experience the fruit of meticulous craftsmanship. Each sip reveals a refined complexity of fruit, oak, spice, and floral aromas, all thanks to the Brotte family's exceptional savoir-faire.
TASTING
This wine reveals a light ruby colour with slightly brick-red tints, testifying to its evolution and refinement.
On the nose, a remarkable aromatic intensity emerges, typical of exceptional old wines. Aromas of undergrowth, cherries in alcohol and truffle intertwine with spicy notes of cloves and pepper, subtly enriched by nuances of orange peel and leather.
On the palate, the attack offers a beautiful roundness, carried by an elegantly expressed complexity. Flavours of dried fig and fruit in brandy combine with hints of tobacco, supported by remarkably fine tannins. The exceptionally long finish prolongs this tasting experience with perfect harmony.
Served at 16-18°C, this Fiole Vintage is the perfect accompaniment to refined dishes such as game in sauce, Rossini beef tenderloin or a selection of mature cheeses. A wine to savour slowly, to appreciate every nuance of its matured aromas
